This is the sixth book in the Famous Five series. The copyright page states 'First published October, 1947' followed by 'Fourth impression, April, 1950' – this copy is the fourth impression of the first edition, dated 1950, not a first printing. Bound in red cloth boards with lettering to the spine.
No dust jacket is present with this copy. A simple line-drawn frontispiece of Kirrin Castle appears opposite the title page.
Condition

- Good – cloth boards show general rubbing and wear to extremities, with light surface dents/marks visible on the front board. Text block and internal pages are clean, with the exception of two faint ink stamps on the title page. Binding remains sound.
