Privacy & cookies

Who we are: Gohachi Books, an independent secondhand bookseller. Contact: adam@gohachibooks.com.

What we collect: when you buy, our checkout (run by Wix) collects your name, email, delivery address and payment details. We use them only to process, post and support your order, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never seen or stored by us.

Sharing: your details are shared only with the services needed to complete your order (Wix for checkout and payment, Royal Mail for delivery). We never sell your information.

Keeping it: order records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounts (usually six years), then deleted.

Cookies: the site uses cookies needed for the basket and checkout to work, and Wix may use cookies to keep the site secure and running.

Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing adam@gohachibooks.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
