About Gohachi

A small bookshop trying to surface the books and their stories

At Gohachi we love books! And with every book that passes through our hands the love grows, whether they're novels, poetry, history and travel, art, natural history or the odd wonderfully obscure manual, especially when they have a story to tell!

It's not only the words. It's the physical book too: the weight of it, the binding, the paper, an inscription on the flyleaf, a letter tucked between the pages. Every secondhand book has its own history and its own small place in history, and Gohachi is about finding those books and passing them on to their next reader.

Every book is checked, photographed from every angle and described honestly. There's usually only one copy of each, so if something catches your eye, don't wait too long.
