About this copy

This is the eleventh impression, dated 1957, of this Famous Five title, which was first published in July 1945. The copyright page clearly states this printing history, confirming the copy is a later impression rather than a first edition. The book is bound in red cloth boards with black lettering to the front cover and spine, and has the characteristic pictorial endpapers found in early editions of this title.

The front cover bears a printed facsimile signature reading 'Enid Blyton,' a decorative feature commonly found on Hodder & Stoughton Famous Five bindings of this era rather than a genuine autograph. No dust jacket is present.

Condition

Book
Good – Solid, sound red cloth binding with some general wear consistent with age; text block is clean with light toning to the preliminary pages. No dust jacket present.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
