About this copy
This is the Twentieth Edition, 1946, of a book first issued on 6 August 1915. The copyright page states it has since been reprinted, illustrated and unillustrated, nineteen times. This copy is therefore a 1946 reprint, not a first edition.
Red cloth hardcover binding. No dust jacket.
Condition
- Book
- Good – Red cloth boards show soiling, fading and marks, particularly on the rear board, with a dark stain near the top of the front board. Cloth rubbing and wear at the spine ends and corners. Ownership inscription 'John Preiti, London, July 1958' on the front free endpaper. Text block is clean on the pages photographed.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
