About this copy
A delightful volume of Chinese verse rendered into English by L. Cranmer-Byng, author of A Lute of Jade and The Odes of Confucius. Drawn from the great poets of the Tang and Sung dynasties, including Li Po and Po Chu-i, these graceful lyrics on friendship, the seasons, wine and contentment have charmed readers for generations. It is a perfect companion for quiet evenings, and a lovely addition to any shelf of Eastern poetry in the celebrated Wisdom of the East series.
This copy is a handsome hardback in its original blue cloth, with the gilt lantern design to the front board and the series label beneath it.
