About this copy
A Book of English Odes, edited by F.W. Tickner, B.Sc. D.Lit., published by J.M. Dent & Sons Ltd, London & Toronto, with the Grant Educational Co. Ltd. of Glasgow as Sole Agent for Scotland. A well-loved anthology gathering a fine range of English odes, from Milton and Keats to later poets, with a helpful introduction on the form and its history.
The attractive Dent title page, decorated with Morris-style foliate borders, makes this a pleasant volume to own and to read. A pre-owned hardback in green cloth. The binding is firm and the text is clean and readable.
The cloth shows rubbing and surface soiling, the spine ends are a little frayed, and there are ownership inscriptions on the endpapers. No dust jacket.
