About this copy
TWO CENTURIES: 1770-1970, Commemorating the Discovery of Australia by Captain Cook Publisher and author not confirmed from available photographs; publication appears connected to the 1970 bicentenary of Cook's discovery of Australia. This hardcover volume has illustrated boards featuring a detailed orange line drawing of an 18th-century sailing ship on the front cover, evocative of Cook's HMS Endeavour. No dust jacket is present.
Condition
- Book
- Fair – The front board shows staining near the spine and top edge, and the rear board has a significant area of adhesive/label residue with visible discoloration and a faint ghosted image beneath it. General wear is present to the cloth at the extremities. A loose, unrelated newspaper clipping (on an unrelated subject) is laid into the book but is not part of the original publication.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
