About this copy
Peter Reading is one of Britain's most technically inventive poets, and Stet is his most sustained and provocative book, built around the printer's proofreading mark that tells a typesetter to ignore a deletion. Reading's sardonic, unflinching verse takes on the hard things most poets avoid, and it has earned praise from Blake Morrison, Peter Porter and P.J. Kavanagh. Reading, born in 1946, won the Cholmondeley Award for Poetry and the first Dylan Thomas Award.
A handsome paperback first published in 1986, with the original printed wraparound cover bearing a striking red-and-cream design and an author portrait. The copy carries a dedicatory inscription dated February 1989.
