About this copy
This is a children's retelling of Defoe's classic novel, with full-colour illustrations throughout by Italian artist Giovanni Caselli. The illustrations were originally copyrighted in 1967 by Istituto Geografico De Agostini of Novara, Italy, with the English text copyrighted 1969 by Golden Pleasure Books Ltd. The book was printed in Czechoslovakia by Polygrafia. The hardcover boards are pictorial, with a large colour illustration to the front and rear panels.
The dust jacket carries the original printed price of 12/6, with a later 15p price added in ink, likely by a former bookseller.

- Very Good – boards are clean and bright with strong colour, and the text block appears clean and unmarked.

- Fair – there is significant tearing and loss to the top corner of the jacket at the spine, with a flap of the jacket detached but still present, plus general edge wear and rubbing to the spine and corners.
