About this copy
This is the UK edition, first published in Great Britain in 1978 by Hamish Hamilton and reprinted later the same year; this copy is that 1978 reprint. The book was originally published in the United States in 1977 by Greenwillow Books. Hardcover in original dust jacket, priced £3.95 net on the front flap, price present and not clipped.
Jacket design based on a photograph of the author taken in 1936.
Condition
- Book
- Good – black boards, clean text block as photographed, no inscriptions noted.
- Dust jacket
- Good – glossy jacket with noticeable surface scuffing and light scratches to the front panel, and some wear to the corners, but complete and unclipped.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
