Methuen's Twentieth Century Texts edition of Hochwälder's German play, with English introduction, notes, select bibliography and vocabulary, plus the author's lecture 'Über mein Theater'. The copyright page states 'First published in this edition in 1962'; the text is copyright Paul Zsolnay Verlag, 1954. No later impression line is visible, so the printing cannot be confirmed.
This copy is in cloth boards with the series' pictorial geometric design and a line-drawn portrait on the front board. No dust jacket.

- Good – Sound binding and text block. Cloth shows shelf wear to spine ends and corners, light soiling and a small mark on the rear board. Light toning to page edges. Previous owner's name in red ink on the front free endpaper.
