About this copy
This is Volume 1 of the 12-volume American Heritage set covering the U.S. presidents and other notable Americans. This volume covers George Washington and John Adams, along with fifteen other "Famous Americans" of the era, as shown in the contents listing. The book was created and designed by the editors of American Heritage magazine, with Kenneth W. Leish as editor for this volume.
The pictorial hardcover boards feature period portraits and illustrations, including a reproduction of Gilbert Stuart's portrait of Washington on the front cover and additional historical images on the rear board. No dust jacket is present.
Condition
- Book
- Good – red cloth boards with bright pictorial images; shows wear to the spine ends and light bumping to the corners consistent with age and handling. Text block and photographed interior pages are clean and intact.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
