About this copy

[TITLE] Knitting Pattern Album Album of loose vintage knitting pattern leaflets, including Emu 6332 and 3053, Hayfield 2615, 2880 and 1557, Sirdar c4521, c6097, c4230 and 2107, and a P&B 510 pullover pattern. The leaflets are housed in plastic sleeves within a cream faux-leather album. The album is a collection of separate pattern leaflets rather than a bound book.

Publisher and date information is taken from the leaflets as visible; exact publication dates are not printed on the photographed pages.

Condition

Book
Fair – cream faux-leather album with surface soiling, scuffing and faded areas on the cover. Several leaflets show creasing, tears, cracked card and edge wear, and some sleeves are yellowed and clouded. Some leaflets carry pencil and handwritten marks. This is a pre-owned item, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.

Collector's notes

  • Pattern leaflets from several British knitwear publishers, including Emu (Sirdar), Hayfield (John C. Horsfall & Sons Ltd) and Sirdar.
  • Pricing printed on leaflets (1/-, 9d, 9p) suggests a 1960s to 1970s date range.
  • Not a first edition or bound book; no edition statement applies.
  • Illustrations are fashion and knitwear photographs on each leaflet cover.

Sold as seen in the photographs.

This is a pre-owned book. Please look at every photograph: they show its true condition.
