About this copy
This is the first edition, first printing (1982) of this lavishly illustrated Bristol study. The book features over 120 photographs – colour and black-and-white – of Bristol's architecture, streetscape, waterways, buildings and heritage, paired with authoritative historical commentary from local historian Bryan Little. A handsome visual record of the city and its urban character.
Originally issued with the illustrated dust jacket pictured. Hardback binding, tight and square.
Condition
- Book
- Good – internally clean and bright throughout, with solid binding and square spine. Edges and corners show light wear consistent with age and modest use.
- Dust jacket
- Fair – the jacket is original and apparently unfaded photographically on the front image (Bristol Docks waterfront scene in bright colour). The back panel and spine show expected fading; edges have creasing and minor wear. The jacket remains intact and protects the book well.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
