About this copy
A beautiful collection of the writings of one of the most beloved saints in Christian history. Ignatius Brady's English translation makes the prayers, letters and rule of St Francis accessible to modern readers, and the spare, devotional voice of the originals still speaks clearly across the centuries. Gianluigi Uboldi's woodcut illustrations add a warm, handmade character to the text.
This copy is a tidy paperback from the Edizioni Porziuncola, with a striking painted cover of St Francis receiving a vision from angels. A lovely volume for a personal library or as a thoughtful gift.
