About this copy

This is the first edition, first printing (July 1967), of the official handbook of The Scout Association. A British handbook from the post-imperial era, with the original price of 8/6 (eight shillings and sixpence) intact on the dust jacket. The book contains practical guidance and information for scouts, with the distinctive green and cream cloth boards and Scout emblem (fleur-de-lis) characteristic of Scout Association publications from this period.

Binding and condition: Cloth boards with original dust jacket. The dust jacket shows expected wear from age but remains sound and unclipped.

Condition

Book
Good – internally clean and sound. Binding is intact and functional with expected age-related wear to the cloth boards.
Dust jacket
Good – present and apparently original. Minor creasing and edge wear consistent with age; price (8/6) unclipped and intact.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
