About this copy

This is the Book Club Associates edition of 1980, issued by arrangement with Michael Joseph Limited and Webb & Bower Limited. The verso states 'This edition published 1980 by Book Club Associates' and 'First published 1980'. It is a companion volume to The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady, and is illustrated with photographs, paintings and family mementoes of the Holden family.

Printed and bound in Italy by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. The book is in a hardback binding with a printed dust jacket. The jacket front shows the artist Edith Holden at her easel, and the back shows chaffinch's nest and eggs with hawthorn blossom and wild hyacinths.

Condition

Book
Good – Sound binding with visible wear to the lower front corner and edges consistent with age and handling.
Dust jacket
Good – Present and apparently original, with small surface marks on front and back panels and light edge wear.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
