About this copy
THE BIG FOOTBALL BOOK Author not stated on supplied images. Publisher and date not confirmed from available photographs; internal content refers to the 1954-55 English football league season and the start of 1955-56, indicating a mid-1950s annual. This is a hardcover football annual with red cloth boards and black lettering to the front cover.
The frontispiece features a colour illustration of Billy Wright, England's captain. The book is illustrated throughout with period black and white match and team photography, including coverage of Chelsea's 1954-55 League Championship win and Aberdeen's cup success that season. No dust jacket is present on this copy.
Condition
- Book
- Good – red cloth boards show rubbing to the spine ends and corners along with scattered small marks and stains to the front and rear panels. Text block and internal photographic plates are clean and legible with only light age-toning. Sound and complete but with noticeable wear consistent with age and handling.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
