About this copy

This is part of the Pan/Ballantine Illustrated History of World War II series. The copyright page shows Copyright 1971 by David Mason, with 'First U.S. Printing: March, 1972' and 'First Pan/Ballantine Printing: May, 1972' noted, with no further reprint statements visible, indicating this copy is from the first printing run of this edition. A mass-market paperback illustrated with wartime photographs drawn from archives including the Imperial War Museum, US Army, and US National Archives, with diagrams by John Batchelor.

Condition

Book
Good – a well-handled reading copy. The covers show rubbing and edge wear with a small tear/nick at the top edge of the front cover, spine creasing consistent with a paperback that has been read, and light age-toning to the page edges. Sound and complete, no dust jacket as issued (paperback).

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
