This copy is the Second Impression, following the original December 1972 first edition. Issued in illustrated paper wraps; no dust jacket was ever present as this is a self-cover paperback format.

- Fair – heavy staining and foxing to the front and rear covers, edge wear and creasing, and a clear tape/laminate strip reinforcing the spine. Handwritten ink notations appear on the front cover ('Not to be taken away', 'Copies available @ 75p'), suggesting the book previously circulated through a local library or sale point. The internal text block and title page remain clean and legible with only minor toning.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
