This is the Fourth Printing (1959) of this angling handbook, first published by Herbert Jenkins in 1954, with subsequent printings in 1955 and 1956 before this one. The copyright page lists the full printing history. The book is presented in its original dust jacket, which retains its printed price of 3/6 net on the front flap.
The rear flap carries a period advertisement for Angling Times magazine.

- Good – text block and binding appear sound throughout; age-appropriate wear expected to cloth covers.

- Fair – notable chipping and loss to the top corners of the front panel and at the spine head, with general toning and soiling to the surface. Flap text and price panel remain intact and legible.
