This is the UK first edition, first printing, published in the year of copyright as shown on the copyright page, with no later impression statement present. It is a hardcover copy in its original dust jacket, priced £1.50 (30s net) and unclipped. This is an ex-library copy, formerly held by West Sussex County Library, and retains the usual library markings: ink stamps, an accession number label, and reserve ticket pockets affixed to the front and rear pastedowns.
The jacket shows notable wear, including surface scuffing to the front panel and soiling/spotting to the rear panel, along with a small nick at the head of the spine.
