About this copy

Twelfth edition, 1959, of the official guidebook to Windsor Castle. The copyright page lists twelve numbered editions from 1949 to 1959, so this copy is the 1959 twelfth edition, not a first edition. Printed by Oxley & Son (Windsor) Ltd., 4 High Street, Windsor, and published by authority of The Lord Chamberlain.

Original printed price One Shilling and Threepence. Red illustrated paper wrappers; the cover artwork is credited to R. Stone on the back cover.

Condition

Book
Good – Stapled paper wrappers intact. Small tear at the lower-left spine edge of the front cover and a small corner nick at the lower-right. General edge and surface wear to covers. Interior clean, with some age toning to the paper.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
