About this copy

This is a softcover collection of comic sketches written for Scout Gang Shows, issued in illustrated paper wrappers by The Boy Scouts Association. The title page confirms this copy as the second impression, dated 1956, following the original 1954 publication. Contents include sixteen sketches such as 'Fire!

Fire!', 'Officers' Mess', 'Television', and 'Trafalgar Square'. Issued in pictorial card wrappers with the original price of 3/- printed on the front cover. No dust jacket, as issued.

Condition

Book
Fair – pictorial wrappers show toning and wear to the edges, with some lifting/curling at the top corner of the front cover. There is visible foxing/staining to the title page and rear wrapper, and some separation visible at the spine where the text block is starting to pull away from the cover. The text block itself remains complete and legible.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
