About this copy

This is the first edition, first impression, September 1972. Design by David Goodman. A collection of theatrical sketches by Ralph Reader, the legendary founder of the Scout Gang Show.

Original purple cloth boards with original dust jacket. Printed by Eden Fisher (Southend) Ltd. Published from The Scout Association, 25 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0PY.

Condition

Book
Good – The binding is sound and square. Pages show age-related yellowing and browning throughout, with noticeable foxing particularly on the endpapers. This is consistent with the book's 1972 publication date and paper stock of the period. Text block is clean, readable, and intact.
Dust jacket
Good – The original purple cloth jacket with white lettering is intact. The design shows even fading consistent with age, and the spine lettering remains clearly visible and readable. Minor creasing is present but no tears or major damage.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.

This is a pre-owned book. Please look at every photograph: they show its true condition.
