This is the first UK edition of Hiroi's classic kite-making guide, first published in Japan and here presented for the first time in English. The copyright page states 'First published in Great Britain, 1978' with copyright held by Random House, Inc., and shows no later printing notices, indicating this copy represents the first printing of the first English-language UK edition. This is a softcover (paperback) copy.
The book design is credited to Kenneth Miyamoto, assisted by Sara Eisenman and Gayle Waite. The back cover notes the book was 'also available in hardcover.' No dust jacket applies, as this is a paperback issue.
