About this copy

This is a volume from the "Great Religions of Modern Man" series, a six-volume set presenting source writings from major world religions with editorial introductions. The copyright page states "First Printing, October 1961" and "Second Printing, December 1961," while this copy's title page is dated 1962, indicating it represents a later printing rather than the true first printing of the work. Hardcover in original pictorial dust jacket, jacket design by Joseph Low.

The front free endpaper carries a previous owner's name written in ink; this is an owner's inscription, not a signature of the editor, and authenticity of any name beyond ownership cannot be established.

Condition

Book
Good – cloth boards are clean with light edge wear; text block appears sound and unmarked in the pages examined.
Dust jacket
Fair – noticeable soiling to the front panel, chipping and loss at the spine head and tail, and a torn/creased front flap corner. Price is not visible due to flap condition.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
