About this copy
No date stated. This is an undated vintage children's anthology volume, 'Rousing Tales of Thrilling Adventure,' featuring six colour plates and numerous black-and-white text illustrations. No copyright page with a full publishing history was photographed, so the specific printing of this copy cannot be confirmed; it is offered as an example of this title without a claim to first edition status.
The book is bound in pictorial boards with a colour illustration of two rugby players to the front cover ('Well tackled!'). There is no dust jacket present. The front free endpaper carries a period owner's inscription ('This Book belongs to...').
Condition
- Book
- Fair – pictorial boards show heavy edge and corner wear with some loss, and the spine covering is split and partially frayed with areas of loss. Text block and endpapers are tanned and foxed throughout, consistent with age. Sound but well-used copy.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
Collector's notes
- Sunshine Press anthology series also included Great Stories for Girls, Happy Friends, and Let's Pretend Nursery Stories
- Features 6 colour plates as noted on the front cover, plus line illustrations throughout
- Front free endpaper has a period owner's inscription
- No date or printing statement could be confirmed from the photographs supplied
This is a pre-owned book. Please look at every photograph: they show its true condition.
