About this copy

This is a UK hardcover edition of Munn's popular physics text, published by George Allen & Unwin in 1973 (copyright dated 1974). The copyright page shows no later reprint statement, consistent with a first printing of this edition. The text is illustrated throughout with line drawings by Stampe, including humorous cartoon illustrations accompanying the scientific discussion.

The book is presented in its original red cloth-style boards beneath a printed dust jacket. The jacket appears to be the one originally issued with the book but has suffered notable damage, described below.

Condition

Book
Fair – boards are sound and the text block and interior pages are clean, with no major staining or markings noted in the photographs. Please see photos for full detail.
Dust jacket
Poor – the jacket has a large tear with loss to the front lower corner, exposing the board beneath, plus a tear/chip to the top corner. The rear panel shows scuffing, light soiling, and a closed tear near the spine head. No price panel is visible in the photographs supplied.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
