About this copy

This is a Book Club Associates hardcover edition of Savage's reference work, reprinting the Second Edition (1978) of a book originally published in 1970 by Barrie & Jenkins. The volume contains nearly 700 illustrations, many in colour, across more than 1,500 alphabetically arranged entries covering European and American decorative arts, with an appendix of marks and bibliography. Issued in the original pictorial dust jacket showing an English country house interior on the front board.

Condition

Book
Good – boards sound and square, hinges holding, interior clean in the areas photographed; general shelf wear consistent with age.
Dust jacket
Good – present and apparently original to this copy, with light rubbing to extremities and corners, some scattered marks/spotting to the front panel, and toning to the front flap edge.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
