About this copy
BIGGLES INVESTIGATES and other stories of the Air Police By Capt. W. E. Johns. Illustrated by Leslie Stead.
Published by Brockhampton Press Ltd, Leicester, 1964. The copyright page states "First edition 1964" with no later reprint or printing notice, consistent with a first printing of this collection of eight Air Police short stories. Hardcover in original pictorial dust jacket, priced 8/6 net in the U.K. on the front flap.
The rear panel of the jacket lists other Biggles and Gimlet titles then available from Brockhampton Press.
Condition
- Book
- Good – a sound, presentable copy; boards not separately examined beyond what is visible beneath the jacket.
- Dust jacket
- Good – wear and rubbing to the spine ends and corners with some whitening/fraying, light soiling to the panels, small edge chips, and a crease with slight separation at the front flap fold. Text and artwork remain fully legible and bright.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
