About this copy
A delightful facsimile of a hand-painted album made in the summer of 1873, when a Victorian father painted the wild and garden flowers gathered by his children in the Oxfordshire meadows. Each watercolour is a lovingly faithful portrait, from the humble bugloss to exotic blooms seeded on Oxford's lawn, and the book brings the freshness of that long-ago summer straight to your shelf. Identifications of the flowers and insects were compiled by experts at the British Museum (Natural History).
A handsome hardback complete with its original dust jacket, priced at £6.75 net.
