About this copy
This is a mid-20th century reprint of Milne's classic 1926 children's book. The copyright page states: 'First published October 14th, 1926 / Reprinted forty-six times / Reprinted 1953 and 1954', confirming this copy as the 1954 reprint rather than a first edition or early printing. Bound in the publisher's red cloth boards with gilt vignettes of Christopher Robin and Pooh to the front board, and the title and author stamped in dark ink to the spine.
No dust jacket is present.
Condition
- Book
- Good – cloth is sound but shows fading and sunning, particularly to the spine, which has frayed with small losses at the head and tail. The rear board has a couple of small pale stains and a loose thread near the fore-edge. Boards remain firmly attached; interior pages appear clean in the photographed openings.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
