About this copy
This is the UK first edition hardcover of the third novel in Beckett's David Hunter forensic thriller series, following The Chemistry of Death and Written in Bone. The copyright page states 'First published in Great Britain in 2009 by Bantam Press' with no reprint notice, and the number line (2 4 6 8 10 9 7 5 3) is consistent with a first printing. The book is housed in its original dust jacket, designed by Tom Poland, with jacket photograph by Dave Wall/Arcangel Images.
The jacket price of £12.99 is printed and unclipped on the front flap.
Condition
- Book
- Very Good – text block and boards appear clean and tight, with no inscriptions or markings noted.
- Dust jacket
- Good – light creasing at the spine head and a minor crease to the front panel; colours remain bright and unfaded otherwise.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
