About this copy
This is the first edition of this local history title, tracing the story of West Sussex's canals and navigations - including the Wey & Arun Junction Canal, Chichester Ship Canal, Arun Navigation and others - from their commercial heyday through abandonment to their present-day partial revival. Illustrated throughout with historic photographs, prints and maps from the author's collection. Issued in the publisher's pictorial laminated boards, as was standard for this Middleton Press series, without a separate dust jacket.
The title page bears a handwritten signature in blue ink; this has not been authenticated and is offered as seen in the photographs.
Condition
- Book
- Very Good - Clean, bright pictorial boards with only light shelf wear to the spine tips and corners. Text block clean and tight. No dust jacket, as issued.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
