About this copy
This is the first UK edition of Dick Francis's 1996 thriller featuring artist Alexander Kinloch. The copyright page states 'First published in Great Britain 1996' with no subsequent printing or reprint notice, consistent with this being a first printing. The book is presented in its original dust jacket, featuring a photograph of a seventeenth-century cup-hilted rapier from the Victoria & Albert Museum.
The front flap retains its original printed price of £15.99, and is not price-clipped.
Condition
- Book
- Very Good – boards and text block appear clean and tight in the photographs, with no inscriptions or markings noted.
- Dust jacket
- Good – noticeable scuffing and light surface scratching to the front and rear panels, with light wear to the spine ends and corners.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
