It is not a first edition. Hardcover in orange cloth boards with gilt decoration on the front cover and spine lettering. The endpapers feature a decorative gilt-printed 'Chronology of Great Composers' timeline design.

- Good – cloth boards show general shelf wear with scuffing and small marks to the covers, wear and fraying at the spine ends, and faint, rubbed gilt lettering on the spine. Page edges show light age-related tanning/foxing. Text block appears sound.
