This is the first UK edition, published by Sheldon Press in 1978. The book was originally published in the United States in 1973 by The Northland Press of Flagstaff, Arizona. This copy represents the first British printing of that text.
The book retells the life and legends of St Francis of Assisi, illustrated throughout with line drawings by Judy Graese, who also provided the artwork for the dust jacket.
