About this copy

This is a volume from the Canterbury Poets series, a pocket-sized poetry series published by Walter Scott, Limited and edited overall by William Sharp. This particular volume, edited by Mathilde Blind, gathers Byron's Miscellaneous Poems. No date of publication is stated in the book, and no printing history is shown, so the specific printing cannot be confirmed from the text.

The book is bound in green cloth boards with a paper spine label. An old ownership label reading "Rosamond Ridley" is affixed to the front free endpaper, and there are pencilled bookseller price notations on the half-title page from an earlier sale.

Condition

Book
Fair – Cloth boards are worn with fraying at the spine head and tail; the paper spine label has chipping and loss. The front free endpaper has a tear with paper loss near the ownership label. Foxing and spotting are present on the preliminary pages. The book is complete and the text block appears sound, but wear is more than minimal.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
