About this copy
This is a 1960 printing of a liturgical missal with copyright dates of 1955 and 1954. The imprimatur was granted by Samuel Cardinal Stritch, Archbishop of Chicago, in September 1953. It contains the complete Roman Catholic Mass texts required for Sundays and holy days of obligation.
The book includes liturgical photographs taken by Stephen Deutsch and Three Lions, Inc., featuring the Sacrifice of the Mass and a wedding ceremony. Bound in red leatherette with gilt decorative border work and an attractive full-colour illustration of a medieval religious scene on the front cover. The binding is sound and the gilt work is still clear and legible.
Condition
- Book
- Good – The binding is sound with even age-related wear and patina throughout the leatherette. Gilt decoration remains clear and visible. Pages show appropriate age-colouring with no significant foxing. No loose pages or structural damage.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
This is a pre-owned book. Please look at every photograph: they show its true condition.
