About this copy
This is the first edition, first printing of this illustrated gift/devotional book, produced in aid of the restoration fund for the Basilica of St Francis at Assisi following earthquake damage in 1997. The book presents extracts from the writings of St Francis and early biographies alongside full-colour reproductions of the celebrated fresco cycle in the Basilica. A hardcover book in its original dust jacket, priced £9.99 on the flap.
Condition
- Book
- Good – boards and text block sound and clean based on photographed pages, with only minor age-related wear expected.
- Dust jacket
- Good – some edgewear and toning to the top edge of the front panel, and a small tear to the top right corner of the rear panel. Text and images remain clear and unaffected.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
