About this copy
This copy is the second impression, printed in March 1947 before general publication, following the first impression of February 1947. The copyright page notes the book was produced in conformity with the Authorised Economy Standards then in force in postwar Britain. A hardcover book on the British and Hollywood film industry, illustrated throughout with photographic plates of contemporary stars and productions, structured as a series of interviews and discussions covering scripting, direction, casting, music, and the cinema audience.
No dust jacket is present.
Condition
- Book
- Good – red cloth boards show general shelfwear with rubbing to the extremities, a small dark stain to the top right corner of the front board, and light foxing to the endpapers and preliminary leaves. Text block otherwise sound.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
