About this copy

This is the first edition of Vivian Rowe's travel guide to the Loire valley, published in the year of first publication as stated on the copyright page. This particular copy is an ex-library book, formerly held by Hampshire County Library, and bears their ownership stamp, an accession number, and a 'WRITTEN OFF' deaccession stamp on the front endpaper, along with a handwritten resale price in pen. The book retains its original pictorial dust jacket, illustrated with a colour photograph of a Loire chateau on the front and a map of the course of the river on the back.

Condition

Book
Fair – sound and complete, but showing clear signs of former library use including stamps and markings to the endpapers, plus foxing to the page edges and endpapers consistent with age.
Dust jacket
Fair – present and appears to be the original jacket, but with noticeable wear including chipping and small losses at the spine ends and corners, general surface soiling, and a tape repair to the rear panel.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
