This is the Eighth Edition, Fourth Impression, dated April 1944 on the printing history page. The book's own publication record (reproduced inside) traces editions from the First Edition of December 1921 through to this 1944 wartime impression, so this is a later reprint rather than a first edition or first printing. A small, privately published cloth-bound songbook compiled for the Hackney Local Association Boy Scouts, with a dedication to Hackney Scouts who died in the First World War, 1914-1918.

- Fair - small hardcover songbook with faded, soiled green cloth boards. Both front corners show cloth/board separation with old tape-style reinforcement visible, and general wear consistent with age and handling. Text block is toned but complete. No dust jacket, as issued.
