About this copy
This is the first edition of Peter Firkins' account of eleven Australian air aces from the First and Second World Wars, published in November 1980 by St George Books of Perth, Western Australia. The copyright page carries only the 'First published' statement with no subsequent reprint notice, consistent with a first printing. The book is presented in its original pictorial dust jacket, designed by Sean Leahy, featuring bold red and gold artwork.
The rear flap carries a photograph and biography of the author, himself a former RAAF Bomber Command aircrewman.
