About this copy
This is the Ninth Edition, dated 1962, as stated on the title page verso. It was printed in Edinburgh by C. J. Cousland & Sons Ltd. The book covers the history and development of Gilwell Park, the famous international Scout leader training centre. The front cover has a small tartan ribbon/patch affixed to it, likely added by a previous owner as a Scouting keepsake rather than a publisher's feature.
No dust jacket is present.
Condition
- Book
- Good – red cloth boards with gilt lettering to the front cover, showing light wear to spine ends and corners along with some surface marking. Text block is clean and complete. A tartan fabric patch has been fixed to the front cover (see photos).
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
