About this copy
This is a local-history diary compiled from the writings and pen-and-ink illustrations of William Henry Bow (1865-1898), a Bristol pall-bearer and amateur artist who recorded scenes of everyday life, pageantry, and events in and around Victorian Bristol during 1893. The book is illustrated throughout with over 90 of the author's own drawings. This copy is the hardcover (case) issue, ISBN 0 9507196 4 1; the book was also issued in paperback.
The book is bound in cloth boards with a colour pictorial dust jacket designed by John Greenhalgh, featuring an oval Victorian street scene on the front panel.
Condition
