About this copy
Litho printed in England by Signland Limited, Farnham, Surrey. This is the December 1987 issue of The Cranleighan, the official school magazine of Cranleigh School, Surrey. The issue covers the 1986-87 academic year and includes sections on School events, Theatre, Chapel, Music, CCF, Fashion Pages, Social Services, Societies, Sport, and Old Cranleighan news, along with photographs from various school contributors and the Surrey Advertiser.
The front cover is a distinctive photographic homage to the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album artwork, featuring school community faces superimposed onto the classic collage, credited on the contents page to T.M. Newsholme and J.S. Kreeger, 'after Peter Blake, by kind permission, EMI Music Copyright.' Softcover pamphlet-style binding typical of school magazines of the period.
