About this copy
This is the first edition of this large-format illustrated reference book, which compares distance, size, area, volume, mass, weight, density, energy, temperature, time, speed and number across the natural and man-made world. The copyright page states 'First published in Great Britain in 1980' with no further printing statements visible, consistent with a first printing. Issued in blue cloth boards with a colourful dust jacket; the jacket illustration is credited to Helen Cowcher.
The jacket shows noticeable wear and chipping along the top edge of the spine.
Condition
- Book
- Good – blue cloth boards, text and illustrations appear clean and complete based on photos provided.
- Dust jacket
- Good – bright, colourful jacket with wear and chipping at the top of the spine and some edge wear to the corners.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
